RPG

RPG stands for “Role-Playing Game.” It is a genre of game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting. Participants typically engage in collaborative storytelling, where they navigate narratives influenced by their character’s traits, skills, and decisions. RPGs can be played in various formats, including tabletop games, video games, and live-action role-playing (larp).

In a typical RPG, players create or select characters, each with unique attributes and backgrounds. A game master (or dungeon master) often facilitates the game, guiding the story and managing rules and scenarios. Players explore environments, encounter challenges, and interact with non-player characters, achieving objectives and developing their characters over time.

The genre encompasses a wide range of themes, from fantasy and science fiction to horror and historical settings. RPGs often emphasize character development and immersion, allowing players to influence the game’s outcome through their choices and interactions.
